It's beginning to look like Spring!

It has been a bit busy around Casa De Sousa. We just got back from our annual trip to Canada. We had a great time visiting family. My sister and her son came with us this time. We all were not ready for the cold weather. We were bundled up the whole time we were there.

Before we left for our trip, the weather started to change, some trees around our home started to bloom, and every time I went outside and looked at them, I would get smile on my face.

With spring and Easter quickly approaching I worked on some invitations. Here are a set of Spring Invitations that could be used for either a birthday party, Easter Egg Hunt, and any spring gathering. I used spring colors, and kept it simple. They are available in my shop at www. easy.com/shop/casadesousa. Any of the invitation can be customized, and translated into Spanish.

Freebie-Valentines Day Subway Art and SAD (single awareness day)

Here is a freebie for you! I'm enjoying my MDS program, especially when holidays arrive. Their images are so cute.
Love this subway art and how I can customize the colors. I also changed up a bit on the SAD (single awareness day) card. I printed one and framed it, so you can have an idea on what it looks like. I printed a 4x6 on photo paper.
Any of these images can be printed for personal use and not to be sold. Would love your comments, let me know what you think!

Hello Baby!! Baby Girl Duck themed Shower

This is a simple baby shower theme, yet adorable. I did some decorations, and a I was in charge of doing a game. I made the game cards to match the baby shower decorations. It was a small but intimate baby shower.

I made the labels and put them together. The little box and bag were the favors.

I made a few pom poms.

Did this banner. I think the ribbon adds a very girly and delicate touch.

These are the food tent labels and food toppers all printed and put together.

This is the game card that I did. The game was fill in the lullaby. I loved that it matched the baby shower theme.

The following pictures are of the set up at the park.

The rosettes on the vases were a bit time consuming, but I loved the way they turned out.

Ninja Turtle Party

My baby turned 4 on December 23, and with all the holiday events and family visiting, we decided to throw a small birthday party for our son at my parent's house.

I love being able to custom make my own party decor. When my son mentioned that he wanted a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Party, I thought wow this will be easy. Especially since a new version of the 1980's show is back on Nickelodeon.

Wow was I wrong, I was able to find just a few items (pricey items) that had the turtles on them, and that's it. So, I got to work and made most  of my own Turtle decorations.

It started off with these super cool Pizza Delivery Box Invitations that I made.
Invitations are now available in my Etsy Shop!

Then I made the balloon centerpieces (thanks to my sis in law and sister for helping blow up the balloons!), food labels, water labels, goodie bag labels, and the small party banners.

I couldn't get this red turtle balloon to stay straight, arrghh

                                                                     Goodies Table

OOZE Drink !

My sister made some Ninja Turtle Masks

Small Candy Table!

The Birthday Cake, made by niece

Also for dessert, I found these old school Ninja Turtle Ice Cream Popsicles.
I had been searching for them, and found a ice cream truck guy nearby (found contact info online), and I met up with him to buy them the morning of the party.

They worked out perfect as a dessert item!

It was another successful party for Casa De Sousa!
